Change in Akos ownership structure
With effect from 6 June 2007, Akos Ltd, which has been a privately-owned limited company since being founded by Paul Evans in 1986, has become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cross Country Healthcare Inc., a NASDAQ-listed company, of Boca Raton, Florida, USA.
Cross Country Healthcare registered a turnover in excess of $650 million in 2006, the majority from providing branded staffing services in the field of healthcare in the USA. Other companies and activities in the Cross Country Healthcare group include continuing healthcare education programmes, the Cejka Search Inc retained search organisation, the clinical research staffing services of Clinforce LLC and the CRO and drug safety services of Metropolitan Research Associates Inc of New York.
